How does it work?
This listing is for a custom wedding floral dice set. You'll dry and prepare the florals, ship them to me inside the silica sand, and I'll create your wedding dice! We can collaborate on selecting floral interiors, contrasting foil colors, internal sparkle tones, and ink colors, or you can give me full creative control if you trust my artistic vision. If more than 48 hours pass without a reply to my customization inquiry messages, I may make executive decisions on the design to ensure the commission is completed on time. Your understanding is appreciated.
What is the timeline?
Dice will be completed 5-12 weeks after the dried florals arrive. My process includes an additional round of drying to ensure the florals are well-preserved. I do test casts to trial how the flowers behave in resin before designing the final floral composition. I then carefully position your florals inside blank molds and cast the blank dice without numbers. Afterward, I cast the blanks a second time in slightly larger molds that include the numbers, ensuring the florals are fully encased in resin. Finally, I sand and polish each face to a beautiful glass finish and ship the dice back to you! Any leftover floral components can be returned upon request.
What florals look best in dice?
While larger blooms can be broken down into petals, the best flowers are about the size of your thumbnail. Colored florals tend to work better than white ones, as white petals can appear translucent in resin. Please also send any greenery used in your bouquet - these often add beautiful contrast to the florals.
Need advice on the drying process?
My DMs are open to help guide buyers through this step. Here is a reel I made showing how I dry florals.
In short: Cover the bottom of your takeout container with a thin layer of silica sand. Arrange as many florals as you can, face up, on top of the sand. Pour a layer of silica sand to completely cover the first layer of florals. Repeat the process - adding another layer of face up florals, then more silica sand - until all your flowers are included. Finish with a final layer of silica sand to fully cover everything. If there’s any space left between the sand and the lid, please fill it with bubble wrap or packing paper to prevent the florals from shifting during shipping.
Want some help with acquiring items for the drying process?
You can purchase a drying pack in addition to your dice. I'll mail you a drying kit, which will include two takeout containers filled with charged silica sand and a pre-printed return shipping label. For domestic U.S. customers, please allow 1-2 weeks for your drying pack to be delivered.
Want to homebrew your own drying pack? Consider purchasing items from my amazon storefront list. I may earn a commission if you purchase through this link. Please note, you are responsible for the shipping fees to send the dried flowers to me.
